What is GospelSlides?

Built for worship gatherings

GospelSlides is presentation software designed for churches. It helps your team display worship songs and Bible passages on the projector screen in real time — so the congregation can follow along during service.

A single operator dashboard controls every live view at once — the hall projector, a TV, a confidence monitor, or lyrics over a camera in vMix or OBS. Stage content privately, preview slides before they go out, and push updates instantly. Search your song library, add new songs when you need them, and project scripture — all from one place.

How it works

One control desk, as many views as you need

Manage stays private on your laptop. The same live slides can appear on a hall projector, extra windows, a TV, or as lyrics over a camera in vMix / OBS. Start with HDMI below, then add more views when you need them.

Display 1Laptop
Display 2 Extend
1

Connect the projector and extend your screen

Plug the projector into your laptop with HDMI (or USB-C). Open display settings (Win + P on Windows, or System Settings → Displays on Mac) and choose Extend — not Duplicate.

Extend gives you a second desktop so Manage stays on your laptop while the projector shows slides only.

Open Live Projector and drag it to the projector screen

From Manage, click Live Projector Screen. A new window opens — drag that window onto the projector display (usually to the right of your laptop).

Press F11 or maximize on the projector screen so the congregation sees slides full-screen with no browser bars. Need a second hall or a confidence monitor? Click Another on Manage and drag that extra window to the other screen.

3

Run everything from Manage on your laptop

Keep the Manage tab on your laptop. Search songs, stage the next slide in Preview & Queue, then click Show on Projector — the projector updates instantly.

Your congregation never sees your search box or staged slides — only what you send live.

Multiple views from one Manage screen

Every Live Projector window, TV, and overlay shows the same live slide at the same moment. Open as many as you need. Signed-in operators can name each screen and change font, size, and layout per view in Connected screens.

Hall projector

The main congregation screen. Open Live Projector, drag it onto the HDMI display, then full-screen it.

Another window

Click Another for a confidence monitor, overflow room, or a second hall. Same lyrics, separate window you can place on any screen.

Cast / Mirror to a TV

Use Cast / Mirror on Manage to send the live view to a TV on your network — useful when the TV is not plugged into the laptop.

Streaming & video mix

What the vMix / OBS settings do

If you already mix cameras in vMix or OBS, GospelSlides can sit on top of that video as lyrics — not as a separate black slide. Add the Live Projector page as a Browser Source, then turn on overlay for that screen only so the hall projector stays normal.

vMix overlay

Per connected screen. Makes that one window see-through and uses outlined lyrics so words stay readable over a camera. The hall projector and other views keep a solid background unless you turn it on there too.

Transparent background

Removes the black page only — lyrics keep whatever colour you already chose. Use this if you want a see-through feed without changing the lyric style. The full vMix overlay switch also turns this on.

Apply overlay look (all screens)

Same overlay look on every connected window at once. Use this only when every output should sit over video. If the hall still needs a solid black slide, leave this off and enable vMix overlay on the mix window only.

Do not colour-key black

In vMix or OBS, do not chroma-key or “remove black”. That also punches holes through black letters. GospelSlides already sends a true transparent page — leave colour-key off.

  1. Open a Live Projector window — or Another if the hall projector should stay solid.
  2. In Manage → Connected screens, turn on vMix overlay for that window only.
  3. In vMix or OBS, add a Browser Source pointing at that live view. Place it over your camera mix.

Simple workflow

From control panel to congregation

2

Stage and preview

Queue the next slide, adjust font size, and review content before it goes live.

3

Go live on every view

Push slides instantly to the hall projector, extra windows, a TV, or a vMix/OBS overlay.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

What is GospelSlides?

GospelSlides is free church presentation software that lets you project hymn lyrics, worship songs, and Bible verses on your projector screen in real time.

Do I need an account to use GospelSlides?

No. You can search songs, add lyrics, and run the live projector without signing in. Create a free account to save favourites, build service playlists, and add custom church branding.

How do I connect GospelSlides to a projector?

Connect your laptop to the projector with HDMI and set your display to Extend. Open the Manage screen on your laptop and drag the Live Projector window to the projector screen. Click Another for extra windows, or use Cast / Mirror for a TV.

Can I show lyrics on more than one screen?

Yes. One Manage dashboard can drive as many views as you need — hall projector, overflow, confidence monitor, TV, and a vMix or OBS overlay. Every view shows the same live slide. Signed-in operators can tune font, size, and layout per screen in Connected screens.

How do I use GospelSlides with vMix or OBS?

Add the Live Projector page as a Browser Source. Turn on vMix overlay for that screen in Connected screens — that makes the page transparent with outlined lyrics so they sit on top of your camera. Do not chroma-key black in vMix or OBS, or black text will disappear too. Leave the hall projector on a normal solid background if the congregation still needs a dedicated lyrics screen.

Who created GospelSlides?
